Dear AuntMinnie member,
The big news this week was the appointment of diagnostic radiologist Dennis Wulfeck, MD, to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). Wulfeck is the first radiologist to serve on the 16-member panel, which provides recommendations on screenings and other clinical preventive services. Get all of the details on the appointment by clicking here.
We’ve also got a new Ultrasound MinnieCast for your weekend listening. Episode 17 features a discussion with David Fetzer, MD, on current trends in ultrasound elastography.
And new research from the Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute found that individual radiologist specialization may best predict the complexity of interventional radiology (IR) procedures performed at IR practices.
Other popular articles this week reported on how CT can visualize leadless pacemakers encapsulated in cardiac tissue and how AI can improve detection of brain aneurysms on CT angiography.
Please see below for our other top stories of the week.
